2026 PG New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Jonathan Cadena is a 2029 RHP/MIF with a 5-8 167 lb. frame from Great Neck, NY who attends Holy Cross. Shorter young build with some present strength throughout. Works from a stretch with a coiled leg raise to the belt, deeper arm path to a 3/4's arm slot, moves well down the mound into release. Fastball was steady in the mid-70's and was thrown for strikes. Threw a short mid-60's slider with some two-plane shape as his secondary pitch. Challenged hitters early in counts and pitched to contact. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright stance with a short stride into contact, rotational upper body swing with soft middle of the field line drive contact, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. Secondary middle infielder on defense, funnels the ball well and fields cleanly, shorter arm action to a 3/4's arm slot, made soft accurate throws, tends to stand up and work uphill into his throws. Good student.
