JD Channell is a 2026 RHP/SS with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Home School. Lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Ran a 7.16 as primary pitcher. Works from a low three-quarter slot with some real arm speed present. Jumps out of hand, into the low-90s and generates plenty of sink and life. Broke off both a big breaking ball and good changeup that mimics well. Deception release a bit hidden in the back and really fires to the plate, very impressive showing and upside. Also showed a big arm across in infield drills. Big arm talent and strength, moves well for size and worked well up the middle. As a right-handed hitter he controls his levers well with bat speed and pull side impact. Gets it out front and produces some backspin and carry. Very solid showing. Very good student. Named to the Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
