Michael Salvatore is a 2028 3B/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Morganvillle, NJ who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Medium young build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand load and a quick lift and replace leg raise trigger, has some lift in his swing and consistently got the ball in the air, some feel for creating back spin, power projects with additional strength. Primary third baseman on defense, fields from a wide base, stays behind the ball well, fields the ball cleanly, step by step actions but makes the routine play, arm works from a 3/4's arm slot. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a closed start and a chest high leg raise, quick tempo to the plate. Fastball sat in the mid-70's with some running life. Threw a full assortment of secondary pitches, change up had some fading life, slider was short and cutter-like, also threw a soft curveball. Excellent student.
