2025 PG Great Lakes Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Mason Laleman is a 2027 RHP/3B/SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Orion, IL who attends Orion. Medium build with lots of room to get stronger. Works exclusively from the stretch on the mound with a belt high leg raise, is aggressive down the mound with some energy into release, hides the ball well in back with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the upper 70's with some run and sink. Change up was a nice pitch with some fading depth at times, also threw a solid curveball with good arm speed and 11/5 shape. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Secondary infielder on defense, has good footwork to the ball, still developing glove consistency, solid arm strength across the diamond, fine for third base. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand load and hanging front leg raise timer, some uphill plane through the ball, worked gap to gap and got the ball in air, has some some projectable power as he gets stronger. Excellent student. Named to the PG Great Lakes Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
