Colton Mosher is a 2029 3B/RHP/SS with a 5-11 142 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Assumption. High-waisted, young, athletic build. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, moves well and has body control, smooth actions to the back hand, made accurate throws with a clean release and some carry for his age, projects well athletically, chance to play in the middle of the field. Right-handed hitter, who sets up with a spread base, high hands, and a higher back elbow. He's athletic in the box with a quieter lower half and toe-tap trigger working into it. He has a hands-driven swing with feel to load up and create some separation working through the swing. He creates length through contact, with a longer and looser stroke. He produced low-liners and hard-hit balls back up the middle, living between the gaps. He had a simple stroke and was able to lift the ball and create some leverage at times. He also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a full wind-up delivery, working with a sidestep into the leg lift around the belt/core area. He had a clean move down the slope with a longer arm action and a full arm swing working through it. He had a higher three-quarters arm action with a clean release. The fastball worked 75-78 mph with spin above 2,300 RPMs. The pitch had some carry and life to it. He also showed a curveball in the upper-60s with more 11-5 shape and depth, flashing good depth to it. He had the occasional changeup in the low-70s with spin down into the 1700s. He threw strikes and was able to put tgoether a great outing on the mound overall. Excellent student.
