Michael Kapler is a 2029 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Desert Mountain. Lean young athletic build with lots of room and time to get stronger. 7.49 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works low and behind the ball and fields it cleanly, compact arm action, tends to throw uphill, makes accurate soft throws with developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a high hand start, steep downhill swing plane, limited shift into contact, swings hard and is looking to pull the ball, mostly ground ball contact. Took a turn on the mound, has a high leg raise delivery with the same compact arm action and 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, flashes some action on a mid-60's slider, still developing feel for his curveball release.
