Josiah Rodriguez is a 2025 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Greeley, CO who attends Union Colony Prep. A bigger body and frame with some strength & physicality in the build. Ran an 8.01 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who worked out in the outfield, fielding it off the front foot with a longer arm action working through it and some strength through release. He shuffles into the throws with lower line-drive flight on the throws at 77 mph. He carries the momentum to the ball and through the ball as he fields it and works into his throwing motion. A right-handed hitter with a spread base, higher-set hands, and a high-back elbow. He gets the foot down and turns well, working through it. He uses a minimal leg lift trigger to get on time with it, rotating through it in the midsection. He got some jump off the bat with some lift and strength in the swing. He had a good weight transfer with strength to drive the ball out in front. He hit a couple of HRs during his round of BP, lifting balls to all parts of the yard. He's compact and short to it and lets the strength create leverage in the swing. Good student.
