Diego Alvarado is a 2029 OF/RHP with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Stoney Creek, ON who attends Bishop Ryan Catholic. Slender young build with some developing wiry strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright and slightly open stance, has some hand quickness but is still developing the strength to drive the ball, best contact when he got the barrel out for pull side line drive contact. 4.00 runner in the thirty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields the ball off to the side, throws from a 3/4's to low 3/4's arm slot with some whippy arm looseness, arm projects well. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and a 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well and throws strikes. Fastball topped out at 71 mph with some sink and run. Tends to slow his arm significantly on his breaking ball.
