Joe Rupert is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2, 190 lb. frame from Huntersville, NC who attends William Amos Hough High School. He is a 7.78 runner in the sixty. On the mound, he works from a full windup with a balanced leg lift and a compact arm path before accelerating through an over-the-top release. He shows the ability to repeat his mechanics and throw strikes consistently, especially to the glove side and at the bottom of the zone. His fastball topped out at 74 mph and he also mixes in a developing breaking ball. He pitches with good tempo and an understanding of how to compete in the strike zone. At first base, he has a longer arm action with accurate throws and clean feeds around the bag. He has a physical frame that projects for continued strength gains, and his size helps him present a big target for infielders. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a slightly closed stance with a compact hand set and strong impact through the baseball. He shows the ability to create solid middle-of-the-field contact with some strength at impact. His physicality leaves room for more power potential as he continues to make any adjustments to his swing and add strength. Great student with a 3.65 GPA.
Overall, Rupert is a physical two-way player with projection who shows steady tools across the board and a foundation to continue building on as he develops.
