Jack Jones is a 2028 IF/RHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Denver, NC who attends Combine Academy. Athletic frame and lean build. Plenty of room to keep adding moving forward. More to come with strength & maturity. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. A primary infielder who threw 84 mph across the diamond, showing some arm speed during his round, adjusting the arm slot as needed. He also moved well, working laterally with some feel for the angles working into the exchange/funnel. Worked out in the outfield, working up to 85 mph during his round of reps with a promising round shown. He had longer strides working to it with clean glovework and good rhythm throughout. He had some arm speed with accurate throws during the round. Jones took BP as a left-handed hitter with a wider & open base, with tighter & pre-set hands. He has a bigger hanging leg lift trigger. Showed feel to get the barrel to it out in front and drive the ball working pull-side. He showed some strength off of it. Hit well in-game as well, collecting a couple of hits. Produced an 86 mph exit velocity during DK Testing. Took to the mound as a right-hander, working from the stretch with a lower hand set and mid/high leg lift. He had good arm speed working down the slope that projects well, pitching from a higher three-quarters arm slot. He had some life to the fastball, working the low-80s and being able to get some swings and misses with the pitch. Showed a mid-70s breaking ball with developing shape and depth, mixing the two pitches to attack the opposition. Showed good actions that project on both sides of the ball. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
