Ethan Acosta is a 2028 3B/IF with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Taft. Stocky and compact build with some strength potential. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high and wrapped hand load start, short stride into contact, rotational lower half swing mechanics, showed some feel for the barrel and moved the ball around the field. 7.54 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, works low behind the ball and has a good idea of his fundamentals and footwork, two-part fielder into his throws, made accurate throws with developing arm strength. Took a turn on the mound to help out and threw a fastball up to 72 mph from a 3/4's arm action, threw strikes and challenged hitters.
