Austin Gomber is a 2011 LHP with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends West Orange HS. Tall slender frame, good projection. Big side step/leg raise delivery, clean arm circle, 3/4's release, somewhat cross body on release, loose out front. Mid 80's fastball to 86 mph, throws FB to spots. Soft curveball with very big shape, sometimes difficult to command size of CB. Nice change up that is used with confidence, mixes up his pitches and tires to work ahead. Has been up to 89 mph in events since PG National. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida Atlantic.
