Vaden Liles is a 2029 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Victoria, VA, who attends Central of Lunenburg High School. His frame and movement skills give him upside on both sides of the ball. On the mound, he works from the stretch with a belt-high leg lift and a high three-quarter slot. The fastball has true life, and he mixes in a developing slider and changeup. There is arm speed present, and as he continues to refine his timing and direction down the mound, there is plenty of room for refined consistency. Defensively, in the infield, he has quick feet, moves well laterally, and has feel for angles. His arm strength stands out, with carry and the ability to make throws across the diamond. He has clean footwork and solid glove work, giving him upside on the left side. In the outfield, he has athleticism and enough arm strength to handle the position when needed, adding to his versatility. Offensively, he is a right-handed hitter with an inline stance and a direct bat path. He has a quick trigger and some barrel feel, working well through the middle of the field with occasional lift. There is some present strength with more impact likely to come as he continues to mature physically. Good student.
