2009 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Chris Romano is a 2009 RHP with a 6'3'', 215 lb. frame from Markham, ON who attends Father McGiveney. Big burly build, good strength. Very busy delivery, big hand drop delivery, comes back to H 3/4's to OH release, repeats it well, adds deception. FB topped at 89 mph, consistent 86-88. Nice change, good arm speed and late sink. SL has good sharpness/shape. Shortens arm arch on CB but hard CB spin and downer shape. Mixes up his pitches, has an idea. Impressive performance, could be a good one. Signed with Muscatine CC (Iowa).
