2025 PG 14U Northeast All-State Games (Invite Only)
Anderson Sweeney is a 2028 OF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Hyde Park, MA who attends O'Bryant Sch Math/Science. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. 8.18 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, is aggressive coming to the ball and got his glove down well, fielded the ball cleanly, gets on top of his throws well with some carry and good accuracy, arm projects well, strong fundamental base to build from. Left handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a high hand load and leg raise trigger, tends to pull off his front side early, looking to lift the ball but needs better direction into contact, flashes some hand strength at contact. Also pitched, worked from a full wind up with a core high leg raise and a simple 3/4's arm action, repeatable mechanics. Fastball was in the mid-70's with good sink and cut, worked around the zone well. Change up was a good pitch with nice arm side fade, curveball had some 11/5 bite and shape. Has some upside on the mound. Good student. Named to the PG 14U Northeast All-State Games Top Prospect List.
