Chesney is a big bodied, 6-3, 210 pound senior first baseman from Clinton, Tennessee. He has an aggressive approach at the plate that sometimes gets him off balance. With the strength in his lower half, cutting some of the leg trigger that he has in his load, could improve his balance. He has a short bat path and combined with very good bat speed has the potential to hit for power at any level. His footwork could improve slightly, but he has soft hands and presents a large target at first base. Jeremy threw 80 off the mound and flashed a pretty good slider at times. His front side flew open some on his delivery, but this position does not seem to be his calling in baseball. He is a good student, GPA of 3.4 and ACT 26 and like many kids that attend our events looked like he was extending too much effort at times, maybe some nerves that got worked out as the event went on. His future is definitely in the batters box and will go as far as that bat and power take him.
