2025 PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier
Kasen Heder is a 2030 3B/RHP/UT with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Haleiwa, HI who attends Kahuku High & Intermediate. Slender young build. 8.03 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, fields the ball cleanly out front, moved well to the back hand, 3/4's arm slot with an uphill release and developing arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield but needs more repetitions and coaching there. Right handed hitter, starts from a slightly open stance with a downhill swing plane, inside swing path with mostly opposite field contact. Took a turn on the mound, works from a rocker step delivery with a compact arm action, repeats his delivery well and threw strikes. Fastball was in the upper 60's with some sink, landed a soft curveball well for strikes. Good student.
