2026 PG Chicago Indoor Showcase
Peter Ney is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Lindenhurst, IL who attends Lakes Community. Medium, athletic build with room to continue adding strength. 7.74 runner in the sixty. Right-handed hitter with a narrow, even setup and a quick load. Hands work with some whip through the zone and the barrel shows up at times, producing a few solid swings and a line-drive finish. Developing bat speed and overall feel for the barrel as the swing gets more consistent and balanced. Primary outfielder on defense with a direct approach to the ball and solid glove work out front. Throws come from a ¾ slot with longer, extended arm action and developing arm strength, showing enough accuracy to stay on line to the bag. On the mound, works from a controlled windup with a sidestep and lower half wrapped around the belt, creating a longer arm path into a H3/4 release. Fastball was 72-74 with some angle and late life, and the curveball was 65 with 11-5 shape that flashed some depth. Mixes strikes, fields the position, and showed the ability to get ground ball contact.
