Lucas Crawford is a 2029 2B/RHP/3B with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Linn-Mar. Smaller, compact build with some present athleticism and more strength to project for as he physically matures. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman, displayed quality footwork in the dirt while taking efficient routes to the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front with some feel to adjust it on the run. Moved well laterally and delivered accurate throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph on throws across the diamond. Secondary pitcher, works from a hybrid wind-up and pushes off the first base side of the rubber. Side-steps into a belt-high leg lift. Separates into a shorter arm path before accelerating into a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball showed some arm-side run and was located well throughout the strike zone. Topped it out at 75 mph. Mixed in a 12-6 curveball with average vertical depth to it and spin around 2200 rpm. Right-handed batter, starts in an even stance and utilizes a quick leg lift trigger for timing. Takes a slightly downhill path to the point of contact. Generates decent bat speed through the zone but can get too handsy at times. Produced softer contact to all parts of the field during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 72 mph.
