Cody Ege is a 2010 OF/P/1B with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Cherokee, IA who attends Washington HS. Lean and long build, projects well. Two-way prospect, nice overall athletic actions. Open stance, toe tap trigger, controlled swing, good bat speed, stays on the ball, shows some lift/pop at times. Good defense both 1B/OF, slick first base actions, very athletic, quick and balanced around the bag, smooth OF actions as well. Polished pitcher, varies arm slot and look, three quality pitches, FB touched 85 mph, good run and sink, SL has bite, nice arm speed on change, shows pitchability, works both sides of the plate. Should keep improving. Good student.
