2026 PG New England Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
William Belden is a 2029 RHP/MIF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Rye, NH who attends Portsmouth. Young medium build. Has a compact arm action in back with a bent high leg raise and slight hip turn at the top, 3/4's arm slot, shorter stride down the mound and gets too cross body out front at times. Fastball was in the upper 70's with some short sink and run to it in the zone, can become more consistent with his fastball command with better direction to the plate. Showed some feel for his secondary pitches, had good feel for his curveball with tight spin and some depth, flashed a slider off the curveball as well along with a change up. Right handed hitter, sets up in a very narrow base with a long stride into contact, short and direct hand path with some extension through contact, gets some separation for some mid field to pull side contact, flashed pull side lift, good base swing to continue to develop as he gets stronger. Good student. Named to the PG New England Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
