Matte Gale Jr is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Charlton, MA who attends Marianapolis Prep. Medium athletic build with some lean strength and more to come. 7.38 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball with good footwork and direction into his throws, has some polish to his actions, gets on top of his throws well with accurate one-hop carry, arm projects well. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance with a high leg raise trigger, gets his foot down on time, long and extended swing, created some back spin and carry to the pull side, pretty accurate barrel, projects as a hitter with additional strength and physical maturity. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up from the third base side of the rubber, high energy mechanics with a high leg raise to start his delivery, quick compact arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with some cutting action. Breaking ball was a sweeping curveball, also flashed a change up. Good student.
