2025 PG Mid-Atlantic High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Benjamin Thompson is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Cherryfield, ME who attends Narraguagus. Larger broad shouldered build with some present strength and plenty more to come. Works from a slow paced full wind up with a high leg raise start and a short stride down the mound, tends to spin off his front side on release. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight with occasional running life, good feel for locating the fastball. Threw both a curveball and a slider with the standard shapes, created more spin on the curveball with some vertical depth. 7.83 runner in the sixty. Secondary corner infielder on defense, has step by step actions to the ball, throws from an over the top arm slot. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand load, upper body rotational swing with a downhill swing path, showed some barrel accuracy with some line drive contact. Excellent student.
