Max Calvert is a 2028 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Topeka, KS who attends Topeka West. Lean build with plenty of room and time to add more strength. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder, gets a decent first step on the baseball and works through it at a deliberate pace. Fields it properly off his front foot before accelerating into a higher arm slot. Tends to limit his separation and release the baseball late. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph on throws from the outfield. Right-handed batter, starts in an even stance with a relatively even hand set-up. Utilizes a simple stride into impact, guiding the barrel a bit before finishing uphill at the point of contact. Produced softer contact to all parts of the field during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength and mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 71 mph. Good student.
