2005 World Showcase
Andrew Jordan is a 2005 right handed pitcher from Miami, Florida, with a nice project able 6'2", 155 lb. frame. Jordan also worked out from the OF and showed very good arm strength (89 mph) with quick and athletic actions. He also took batting practice showing good bat speed with a line drive swing. Jordan had good weight transfer and made solid contact. On the mound, he has a balanced delivery from a high 3/4 arm slot. Jordan's fastball topped out at 86 mph, however his high release point limits the amount of life on his fastball. His breaking ball showed good 11-5 break at 71 mph, and it was a very effective pitch for him. Jordan threw strikes with all of his pitches, and when he missed, he missed low. With his athleticism and project able body, it is easy to see him throwing with much more velocity in the near future. Keep an eye on this kid.
