Alex Oleksiw is a 2030 2B/OF with a 5-5 105 lb. frame from Carmel, IN who attends Park Tudor. A lean frame and build, with a higher-set waist. Plenty of room to continue growing and fill out the build moving forward. Ran an 8.71 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who gets the ball out quickly with some urgency to his actions overall. He made good adjustments with the glove and was able to flash softer hands and smooth glovework. He made some good plays overall and threw 56 mph across the diamond. He also worked out in the outfield with a feel for the attack, working to it and through it. He had a medium arm action with some length through release. He was able to keep the ball around the bag, with developing arm strength. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and a big rocking load into contact. He had some length to the swing, throwing the barrel through contact. He had higher hands at his loading point and was able to throw the barrel through contact. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a simple mechanical operation on the mound, landing open, working down the slope from the middle of the rubber. He had a knee-to-core leg lift with some torque, using drop-and-drive mechanics downhill. He had a shorter arm action working from a three-quarters arm slot. He was in the zone early on with some feel and fluidity to his actions on the mound. Worked up to 60 mph with feel to attack the zone. Also flashed a curveball with a bigger developing shape. Great student.
