Luke Penna is a 2027 RHP/IF with a 5-8 190 lb. frame from Yorktown Heights, NY who attends Kennedy Catholic. Short and compact build with good present strength. Works from a controlled leg raise delivery with an aggressive drive down the mound, compact arm action with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 77 mph and was mostly straight, threw strikes with his fastball and got ahead in counts. Showed confidence and feel for a low 70's change up with good arm speed and some fade. Softer low 60's curveball showed some 11/5 depth as his third pitch. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow stance with a simple stride into contact, has some bat speed and lift out front, made solid contact middle away, some hitting tools to continue to develop. 8.78 runner in the sixty who also worked out as a third baseman. Good student.
