Kellen Berthiaume is a 2028 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Kent, OH who attends Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. Tall and lanky young build with tons of room to add size and strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium straight stance, hits tall and tries to create leverage and barrel whip, longer swing at present, bat speed and barrel control will continue to improve as he gets stronger and more mature physically. 7.81 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has good fundamentals and fields the ball cleanly while making accurate throws, made all the plays. Took a tun on the mound, works from a full wind up with a tall delivery and good balance over the rubber, can get more extension coming down the mound both in his stride length and arm action, high 3/4's arm slot. Threw almost exclusively fastballs, topping out at 75 mph. Has some potential on the mound with a pitching coach. Good student.
