Jhett Diercks is a 2030 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Waverly, IA who attends Waverly-Shell Rock. Medium lean athletic build with good length and plenty of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with an inward back tap trigger, some lower half drift into his swing, rotational mechanics, can get off-line with his upper half and pull off on his swing, line drive swing plane with the developing strength to impact the ball. 8.05 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, developing footwork and athleticism. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a belt high leg raise, throws from an extended low 3/4's arm slot but will vary it at times. Fastball was in the upper 60's with some run and sink and occasional cutting action as well. Flashed a shorter curveball as well.
