2025 Cedar Rapids Red Organizational Scouting Combine
In the circle Nissen is a right-handed pitcher who throws a Fastball, Change-up, and Drop. She is a young pitcher that shows good motion and delivery with a nice arm whip. Her drop is late moving and very effective. She will be a good one to follow as she refines her motion and builds more power.
Defensively, Evelyn Nissen is a young 2031 RHP/1B. She has good basic fundamentals to build on at this time, but does show good footwork around the bag when receiving throws at 1B. With continued work on glove awareness and staying down on ground balls, she will continue to grow in her defensive impact.
Offensively, Nissen is a right-handed hitter who uses everything she has in every swing. She uses her back side well and generates a solid amount of barrel whip. She does dive to the front foot as of now, but with continued work on her posture and front side resistance, she will be driving the ball to all fields in no time. She is young, but has figured out how to generate whip, so as she continues to refine her swing we think she has great potential.
