Lucas Genareo is a 2028 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-1 168 lb. frame from Lakewood, NY who attends Southwestern. Long and lean young build with lots of physical projection remaining. Works exclusively from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and good lower half drive down the mound, lands on line and gets over his front side well, longer 3/4's arm action and slot, fluid overall mechanics. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with good arm side run. Threw both a curveball with 12-6 shape and depth and a firmer slider with some sweeping depth. Threw strikes with all his pitches and had an idea how to sequence. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Secondary third baseman on defense, stays behind the back hand well, fields the ball out front, easy arm strength and makes accurate throws, can carry his momentum better into throws and have more active feet. Right handed hitter, sets up in an even stance with a high hand load and a toe tap trigger into his swing, short and compact swing with good extension through the ball, some uphill plane through contact, has present bat speed and projects offensively. Good student. Named to the Pennsylvania Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
