Samuel Ciukaj is a 2027 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-5 224 lb. frame from Erie, PA who attends Cathedral Prep. Extra big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly closed medium stance with a deep hand load, tends to get out front early and pull off, arm heavy upper body swing, has bat speed and juice at contact with gap to gap contact, will continue to improve with timing/balance adjustments but has the strength to be an impact hitter. 6.78 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, step by step actions to the ball, feet can be heavy moving laterally, best defensive tool is his arm strength, longer arm action with good carry across. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with minimal hip turn over the rubber, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, more velocity there with mechanical adjustments, fastball was heavy with low spin characteristics and some running life. Tended to slow his arm on a short 11/5 curveball. Outstanding student. Named to the Pennsylvania Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
