Jonathan Cluff is a 2006 outfielder from South Jordan, UT with a medium build that shows strength at 6-0, 185 lbs. Cluff is an outstanding runner at 6.60 in the 60 and showed pro level arm strength during outfield drills at 89 mph with good accuracy. The combination of speed and arm strength make Cluff an excellent defensive outfielder. Offensively, Cluff hits out of an upright stance with a short stride and a short, leveraged swing. When he gets extended, Cluff shows plus bat speed and some real pop in his bat. He hit a line drive triple of the centerfielder's head that just exploded off the bat and carried close to 400' feet on a line. The key for Cluff will be getting the consistent extension because the bat speed and strength are there. Cluff is a very good student off the field. High level prospect.
