Justin Bour is a 2006 1B/RHP from Centerville, Virginia. It’s hard to miss Bour and his 6'4", 240 lb. frame on the baseball field. It’s also hard to miss him when he swings the bat from the left side of the plate. Bour has a solid swing, with good balance towards the ball and very good extension out front. When he hits the ball, it stays hit, too. Bour crushed one ball off the RCF scoreboard at Duke, about 380’ away, and it was a line shot. The next time up he took an 85 mph fastball and one hopped the left centerfield fence. Bour showed the same type of power and swing discipline in batting practice as well. It looks like this 2006 prospect is going to hit and hit with power at the next level, and college coaches should be lining up for him. Defensively, Bour had fair mobility at first base and a very strong arm for the position. He also took a turn on the mound, touching 84 mph, but generally pitching in the upper 70’s with a 62 mph curveball.
