Cory Slater is a 2011 3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter HS. Nice athletic frame, good present strength, more to come. Hand hitch load, double toe tap, busy overall approach, good raw bat speed, shows lift and power in his swing, good extension out front, upper cut swing plane, will have to simplify approach for the next level. Solid third base actions, soft hands, good footwork, throws carry, tends to stay back on balls. Didn't pitch but has been up to 90 mph in the past. Good student, signed with New Mexico.
