Russell Reynolds is a 2012 RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Parkview Baptist HS. Slender angular build, good physical projection. Leg tuck delivery, gets turned, compact arm action, tight 3/4's release, short stride, effort on release, needs to get lengthened out. Primary fastball pitcher, upper 80's velocity, touched 90 mph, mostly straight. Good curveball velocity, fair curveball spin with occasional depth, didn't see a change up. Projectable body but has adjustments to make with his delivery. Good swings at the plate, loose hands and swing, solid mid field contact. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
