Taylor Field is a 2013 C/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Newton, IA who attends Newton HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Have had him as low as a 7.13 in the 60 yard dash. A high energy catcher, behind the plate he displays very good actions and quick feet. He showed solid transfer and release skills as well as good arm strength with a 1.88 pop time at 78 mph in the workout. Stays very active behind the plate and blocks well. He is a right handed hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow set up. Has present bat speed with an uppercut plane and makes solid gap to gap contact. Very good student.
