2003 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Padgett is a good overall player that showed everything with a, solid, fundamental performance. He ran well, threw well, showed good infield actions and made all the plays and competed as hard as anyone. He has a good thin but projectable build that looks like there is a lot of growing left. His range at the SS position was excellent and his bat might be his top tool. He showed possibly the prettiest all-around swing and really displayed an advanced knowledge of hitting. He is a polished player and if his tools continue to improve over the next year, watch out for him. He also pitched at 80-82 with a good curve and an even better 69 mph change-up. He was selected for the Top Prospect game.
