Caleb Frare is a 2012 LHP with a 6-2 198 lb. frame from Miles City, MT who attends Custer County District HS. Broad backed strong build, physically mature. Works from the stretch, exaggerated crouched start, gets back/hips turned, quick compact arm action, hard front side and doesn't get over it consistently, causing ball to be up frequently. Upper 80's fastball, touched 90 mph, very straight when up. Sweeping 2/8 curveball with shorter break, developing change up. Around the zone but needs to work down better. Left handed hitter, very spread stance, rotational line drive swing, has some hand strength on contact. Good student, signed with Utah.
