Fernando Careaga is a 2012 OF/SS with a 5'10'', 155 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Salpointe Catholic HS. Young athletic build, some developing strength. Aggressive hitter, late leg lift load occ leaves him late, generates good bat speed, loose out front, has the potential to drive the ball, should keep improving as a hitter. Good runner for age, 7.34, quick first step on defense, plays both OF and IF and still working on footwork, developing arm strength. Good student.
