Matthew Wade is a lean very projectable 6'0/170 RHP from Orange, CA. He was one of the pitchers who didn’t throw 90 in Tropicana Field, usually not an invitation to high prospect rankings. But he can really carve up a strike zone with his 4-pitch arsenal. His live 88 mph fastball looks plenty quick when used in tandem with two sharp and very different looking breaking balls. Wade was one of the top pitchers in Tropicana Field. His size might cause MLB scouts to shy away, but he can pitch at any college in America. Real true pitchers with MLB average fastballs are hard to find. This kid is one of them and he projects to get stronger and better. Matthew is a very good student.
