Pedro Perez is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Burlington City, NJ who attends Burlington City HS. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Showed well as a legitimate two-way player. Impressive arm strength, threw 90 across the infield, sat 85-88 on the mound. Pitches with 3/4 arm slot, arm works well with good arm speed. Fastball has riding life on it, online delivery, long smooth arm action, quality secondary stuff with good 12-6 curveball with deth and deceptive changeup at 77 mph. High level defensive SS, moves well, good release time, plus arm. Strong hitter from the right side, good swing path, strong hands and wrists, good balance, aggressive approach. Quality hitter from left side as well, but path is longer, equally as smooth and still very solid. Interesting two-way prospect.
