Matthew Kinney is a 2011 OF/LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Blessed Trinity HS. Slender young athletic build. Aggressive hitter, solid approach, quick hands to the ball, good bat speed, stays balanced, leg tuck load but gets it down in good time, mid field contact, has some late lift in swing, should continue to develop as a hitter. Didn't run 60 but very aggressive base runner with good speed. Shows solid outfield arm strength, good throwing fundamentals. Also pitched, short stride, recoils on release, raw delivery mechanics, shows arm strength with 82-84 mph fastball, limited feel. Excellent student.
