LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2004 Western Underclass Showcase
Michael is 2006 grad from Irvine, California with a stocky, compact frame and good strength in his arms and upper body. He's obviously worked hard to get strong. Michael had an injured arm this day and didn't throw from the mound or during infield, so we didn't get to see that part of his game. Michael uses his strength well at the plate. He has a compact, quick swing and showed us nice power to the opposite field during the game. He's an aggressive hitter who is attacking the ball where it's pitched. His short approach enables him to cover all part of the plate well. Michael is also a very good runner underway and has some first step quickness. The PG scouts were also impressed with his hustle and desire to play. Michael is a solid student as well. We look forward to getting to see him pitch and throw in the future.
