Robert Schauer is a 2012 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Modesto, CA who attends Downey HS. Slender athletic build, looks bigger than listed. Big leg raise/back lean delivery, tucks head into shoulder, clean arm circle, arm loose and quick coming through, high 3/4's slot, repeats well. Consistent mid 80's fastball, topped at 86 mph, mostly straight with occasional cut. Hard spin on curveball, good 11/5 shape and depth, sharp bite, occasionally wraps CB in back and tips it. Developing change up. Throws strikes and is aggressive. Right handed hitter, straight stance, simple swing approach, solid swing mechanics, solid line drive contact. Showed athletic actions in defensive drills and good arm strength. Good student.
