Nick Day is a 2011 OF/SS, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Solon, IA who attends Solon. Long slender build that projects for increased strength over the next few years. Excellent defensive outfielder, combines good arm strength with a quick release and good carry on accurate throws. Simple hitting mechanics with a short fluid swing, bat is more quick than fast, lacks power at present but likely to develop over the next few years. High energy guy, plays the game hard, very athletic (6.60 60), moves well on bases and in the field. Very good student, committed to Iowa.
