Matthew Sharp is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Shreveport, LA who attends C E Byrd HS. Solid athletic build, good strength, fairly physically mature. Leg raise delivery, compact arm action, on line delivery, tight 3/4's release point. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight with his 4-seamer. Turns over his 4-seamer at 84 mph, acts as a change up, spots well with good movement. Big sharp curveball, nice depth with good velocity, has the ability to spot it. Good command and feel for pitching. 6.91 runner, good athlete, shows raw strength at the plate with the ability to drive the ball occasionally. Good student.
