Ryan Masters is a 2005 infielder from Coral Springs, FL, with a nice, projectable 5'11" baseball body and some present strength. Masters’ arm strength plays well at the next level at all infield positions and he probably profiles best to third base, although he did show some nice actions at shortstop in games. Masters ran the 60 in 7.5 (converts to 7.2 range), but we had him at 4.4 to first base from the right side and his game speed on defense also looked much better than his 60 time. Masters projects out well as a hitter, also. He has very good strength in his hands and hits out of a wide stance that lets him get behind the ball. Masters crushed the ball during batting practice, showing very good gap to gap power, and carried that approach and success over to the games as well. He looks like a mature hitter who knows how to handle the bat head. He can play at a very high level and he's a very good student
