Brent Gibbs is a 2013 C/OF with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Alton, IL who attends Alton HS. Tall, strongly built athlete, thicker lower half. Shows plus arm strength from behind the plate, footwork is a little choppy right now. Gets ride of the ball quickly, has the tools to be develop into a superb defensive catcher. Right-handed batter, hits from a slightly open stance with his hands high. Well balanced hitter, stays inside the ball well and shows bat speed. Big power potential, looks very strong. Some moving parts to his swing, but has very high upside. Good student.
