Matthew Railey is a 2014 OF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends North Florida Christian HS. Compact athletic build, very good present strength. Didn't run 60 but has a quick first step and very good speed, good outfield actions, strong accurate game throws, can improve front side mechanics throwing. Left handed hitter, open spread stance with stride into contact, tight hands, occasionally late getting them started, very strong hands at contact, ball carries well off the barrel, has power potential, aggressive swing approach and will expand the zone, hitting tools to develop with more repetitions. Solid all around athlete and player. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida State.
